Free macOS cleaner that scans for caches, app leftovers and duplicates. Every feature unlocked for 3 days, then keep it with a one-time licence.
What it is

Broomkit: the homepage
Broomkit is a macOS disk cleaner and app uninstaller that helps users reclaim storage space. It scans for caches, application leftovers, package caches, and other files that accumulate on Mac disks. The app provides a free 3-day trial with all features unlocked, allowing users to see their own numbers before deciding to purchase a one-time licence.
The tool includes a disk map visualization to show what is consuming space, a performance monitor for live system metrics, and an uninstaller that removes apps and their support files completely. Unlike many cleaners, Broomkit moves files to the Trash rather than permanently deleting them, shows every file with its full path before removal, and avoids risky operations like deleting kernel caches or swap files.
Broomkit is built with transparency in mind: it requires no administrator password, installs no background processes, and deliberately does not attempt malware scanning or claim to speed up machines. It runs on macOS 14 or later on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and is developed by Diljit PR at DPR Software Labs OPC Private Limited based in Bangalore, India.

Quick answers
Will deleting cache files break my apps?
No. Cache files exist to be rebuilt. The only effect is that the first launch after a clear takes slightly longer while the app regenerates what it needs.
Why is my Mac's System Data so large?
Because nothing in macOS shrinks it. Apps write caches and logs continuously, iOS backups accumulate, and uninstalled apps leave support folders behind forever. Apple's Storage settings show the size but give you no way to look inside.
Does Broomkit need Full Disk Access?
Yes. macOS blocks apps from reading other apps' cache and support folders without it. Without Full Disk Access, Broomkit can only see a fraction of what is on your disk.
Can I get files back if Broomkit removes the wrong thing?
Yes. Everything is moved to the Trash, never unlinked directly. Until you empty the Trash, any removal can be undone by dragging the files back.
Does it scan for malware?
No, and deliberately so. A malware scanner without a maintained threat feed reports "no threats found" on an infected Mac — false confidence is worse than no feature. macOS includes XProtect for this.
