A macOS menu bar app with five personality packs that comment on your battery level and can speak out loud through voice mode.
What it is

Battery Beggar: the homepage
Battery Beggar is a macOS menu bar app that gives your battery a personality instead of showing a silent percentage. It writes commentary at every battery level in one of five distinct voices: Dramatic, Matter of Fact, Passive Aggressive, Anxious, or Stoic. The commentary escalates as your battery drains, encouraging you to notice and plug in earlier to waste less power.
The app includes optional voice mode that reads the commentary out loud using any installed system voice. There is also a sixth personality pack called Percy, available as a one-time $2.99 in-app purchase, which features Battery Beggar's mascot from TikTok speaking in his real recorded character voice.
Battery Beggar runs fully locally on your Mac with no account, no data collection, and no analytics. It can be disabled to function as a clean, minimal battery indicator. The app launches at login and idles in your menu bar until it has something to say.
