What it is
uView Player: the homepage
uView Player is a floating video player for Windows that lets you watch videos in a separate window that stays on top of your other applications. The app opens video content in a resizable, transparent window that can be moved anywhere on your screen, ideal for watching tutorials alongside an editor, streams during gameplay, or reference videos while working.
The player supports major platforms including YouTube, Netflix, TikTok, Twitch, and Crunchyroll, with the ability to create playlists, manage followed channels, and organize favorite videos. It includes features like picture-in-picture mode, a lock window function to prevent accidental clicks, adjustable transparency, and a browser extension that can detect and send supported media to the app.
uView Player is optimized for low resource usage and works with common web video sources, local media, and direct streams. It requires Windows 10 or Windows 11 and the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime.

Quick answers
How do I download and install uView Player?
uView Player is distributed through Microsoft Store. Open the official Store listing, choose Install, and Windows handles the package and future updates. iDruf no longer provides a separate EXE installer from the website.
What are the system requirements?
uView Player is intended for Windows 10 and Windows 11. It uses Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime to display supported web content inside the player.
Can uView Player download audio or video files?
No. uView Player is a playback and organization tool. You can keep supported links in favorites and playlists, but the app does not provide a general-purpose downloader for media from streaming services.
Why does a video work in my browser but not open in uView Player?
Some sites expose the playable media only while the page is running in the browser. In those cases, install the uView Player Extension. The extension can detect supported media and send it to uView Player.
Which services can uView Player open?
uView Player works with common web video sources, local media and direct streams. Support for individual streaming sites can change when those sites change their own players, login requirements or playback restrictions.
