What it is

Screenshot of the Sentrint homepage

Sentrint: the homepage

Sentrint scans GitHub repositories for apps built with AI coding tools, checking for hardcoded secrets, database access rule vulnerabilities, risky dependencies and dangerous code paths. It provides a security score out of 100, explains each finding in plain English, and generates a fix prompt written for the specific AI tool that built the app. The scanner uses three passes: fixed rules to identify issues, AI review to reduce false positives, and AI-generated fix prompts. Code is read-only, never executed or tested on the live site.

Quick answers

  1. How does Sentrint differ from other security scanners?

Sentrint is built specifically for AI-generated code and uses three passes to find vulnerabilities: fixed rules to identify issues, AI review to reduce false positives, and AI-generated fix prompts written for the specific AI tool that built the app. Unlike traditional security tools, it focuses on the unique risks of vibe-coded apps.

  2. What data does Sentrint keep after scanning?

Sentrint deletes your code clone when the scan completes with no backups. For critical and high findings, about ten lines of code around the flagged line are kept for 30 days to rebuild the fix prompt, then automatically purged. No source code is used for model training.

  3. Can Sentrint push changes to my repository?

No. The Sentrint GitHub App has read-only access and cannot push commits, open pull requests, change settings or add collaborators. It can only read the repository you choose. These write permissions were never requested and GitHub will not grant what was not asked for.

  4. What happens if Sentrint finds a leaked credential?

When Sentrint finds a leaked credential, the report shows the file and line number but does not print the key itself. Sentrint checks whether the credential still works with the issuing provider, since a live key and a revoked key need different responses. The key value is never stored.
