Pulumi: the homepage

Pulumi is an open-source infrastructure as code platform that helps developers and infrastructure teams build, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using familiar programming languages like TypeScript, Python, Go, .NET, and Java, or configuration languages like YAML and HCL. The platform supports multiple cloud providers including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes.

The Pulumi platform includes an AI infrastructure agent called Neo that can automate infrastructure tasks and work alongside coding agents. It provides centralized management for secrets and configuration, discovery and governance capabilities for cloud resources, and policy as code enforcement for compliance and security. Teams can build reusable infrastructure components and share them through package managers.

Pulumi is trusted by over 4,000 companies and is SOC 2 Type II certified. The platform offers both free and paid plans, with a free tier for individuals and teams, and enterprise editions providing advanced governance, automation, and compliance features for large-scale operations.

Quick answers

  1. Do I pay as I go, or prepaid up-front?

The Essentials, Pro, and Enterprise editions are available month to month with a credit card. You will be charged an up-front fee at the beginning of each monthly term. The up-front fee will create a pool of Pulumi Credits. Unused monthly credits expire at the end of each monthly term. If your usage exceeds your Pulumi Credit pool, you will be billed in arrears for your usage at the end of the monthly term. Annual commitment pricing is available on Pro and Enterprise only.

  2. What are Pulumi Credits?

Pulumi Credits are a pool of credits created by the up-front fee paid at the beginning of each monthly term. They are used to cover usage costs, and unused credits expire at the end of each monthly term.
