layernote is an annotation tool for collecting and managing feedback on live websites, design files, PDFs, images and videos. Clients can review and comment on any content by following a share link without needing to create an account. Feedback pins stay anchored to the specific elements being discussed, eliminating confusion about what needs to be fixed.
The platform helps teams track all feedback in one place with a Kanban task board to manage work from open to done. It includes a Figma vs live comparison feature that automatically detects differences between design files and live websites, showing every deviation in color, typography, spacing and layout.
Feedback can be resolved manually or handed off to Claude, Cursor or Codex via MCP (Model Context Protocol), allowing coding agents to read annotations and automatically fix issues. The tool includes CSS inspection to check sizes, spacing, type and colors directly on live pages, and version history to track changes.

No. Share a link and clients can view and comment as guests. You can pause their comments at any time, and on Studio and Team let them follow the board.
How does the design comparison work?
Link your Figma file to a website project and run Compare to live. layernote reads the design values from the file, the rendered styles from the live page, and lists every difference in color, type, spacing, layout and borders with the expected value next to the actual one.
Can I control who sees a review?
Yes. Every share link can be comment or view only, with a password and a feedback deadline, and you can pause new comments once a round is closed.
