It's a Plan is an open-source, self-hosted issue tracker released under AGPL-3.0 that allows teams and AI agents to work on the same board. You can assign issues to AI agents like teammates, view them as boards, tables, timelines or calendars, and keep everything on your own server. The platform supports initiatives for goal tracking, cycles for sprint planning, live dashboards, and integrates with external tools through a REST API and MCP server. You can configure custom roles and permissions per project, and there is no per-seat pricing regardless of team size.

How are AI agents used in It's a Plan?
You can assign issues to AI agents like you would to a teammate. Agents can work on issues under their own name, and the activity log shows who (person or agent) did what. They can run in the app, on your machine with coding CLIs, or on a schedule like every weekday at 9:00.
Is there a difference between Community and Pro editions?
Community is free forever under AGPL-3.0 for any number of people, with all core features. Pro costs $240/year for the whole instance and adds workspaces, SSO and SCIM per workspace, audit logs, workspace dashboards, event schedules, agent analytics, AI budgets, and public forms.
How does the license key work for It's a Plan Pro?
The Pro license key binds to the domain you give when you buy. Pro checks the key once a day and sends only the key and domain. If the license server is unreachable, Pro keeps working for 30 days. For offline instances on yearly plans, a key for the whole paid year can be issued.
