Zerops: the homepage

Zerops is a developer-first cloud platform built on its own hardware to run an application's entire lifecycle from development through production. It consists of three integrated products: Platform for deploying and managing apps with full Linux containers, Mate an AI engineer that ships working code, and Box persistent VMs for running agents. The platform offers system containers with root access, managed services including PostgreSQL, MariaDB, ClickHouse, Valkey, Elasticsearch, Meilisearch, Typesense, Qdrant, NATS, and Kafka, a private VXLAN network, CI/CD pipeline, and production features like load balancing, firewalls, autoscaling, and ISO 27001 certification. All three products run on the same underlying infrastructure with no feature tiers or seat fees, using minute-based pricing for containers.

Quick answers

  1. What is the difference between Zerops Platform, Mate, and Box?

Zerops Platform is the core developer-first cloud for running applications through their full lifecycle. Zerops Mate is an AI engineer that can be hired to code and ship features, deployed in its own environment. Zerops Box is a real VM for running agents or untrusted code, available per user, task, or session. All three run on the same underlying engine.

  2. How does environment parity work on Zerops?

Zerops uses the same managed services, private networking, load balancers, and CI/CD pipeline across dev, staging, and production environments. A project becomes dev, staging, or production only by the resources allocated to it, not by different infrastructure or features. This eliminates environment-specific issues and means code that works in development will work in production.

  3. What databases and services are managed on Zerops?

Zerops offers managed PostgreSQL, MariaDB, ClickHouse, Valkey, Elasticsearch, Meilisearch, Typesense, Qdrant, NATS, and Kafka. All services include health monitoring, automated failover, backups, and scaling. High availability is a toggle, not a tier upgrade.

  4. How does Zerops compare to managed platforms and big cloud providers?

Unlike managed platforms that trade visibility for convenience, Zerops builds every layer on its own hardware including Incus containers, VXLAN networking, and custom L3/L7 balancing on AMD EPYC hardware. This avoids the visibility issues of managed platforms, the operational overhead of self-hosted solutions, and the high costs and complexity of big cloud providers.
