What it is

Origin Cloud: the homepage

Origin Cloud is a European cloud infrastructure provider built on an independent control plane under German jurisdiction. The platform offers core cloud services including virtual machine compute, persistent block storage, virtual private cloud networking, identity and access management, observability, and cost management tools. All services are currently in open beta with published pricing that requires no sales calls. The company emphasizes GDPR compliance, ISO 27001 and BSI certifications, and full control through its own control plane rather than resold or white-label solutions. New organizations are reviewed before their first launch, typically within a few hours, and can begin provisioning resources immediately after approval.

Compute: published hourly rates per instance type in gp1 series. Persistent Volume Storage gp1: 0,0700 € per GiB/month. Planned storage classes io1 at 0,1050 € per GiB/month and st1 at 0,0420 € per GiB/month. No minimum commitment, billed on provisioned capacity.
