Skillselion: the homepage
Skillselion is an independent directory of AI coding agent tools including skills, MCP servers and marketplaces. The directory is automatically updated daily from live registries and ranked by real adoption metrics: install counts and GitHub stars. Skillselion also operates as a research organization, publishing dated censuses of the agent ecosystem with open datasets covering security audit coverage, verified copies, install-weighted use cases and code maintenance. Every statistic on the site is attributed to its source and dated, with numbers never estimated or invented.

How often is the directory updated?
Daily. Install counts are snapshotted every day to power trend sparklines, GitHub metadata is re-swept every day, and repositories that disappear from GitHub are removed automatically.
Does it cost anything to use Skillselion?
No. Browsing the directory, searching and reading the weekly brief are free with no account required.
How are listings ranked?
By real adoption: install counts first, then GitHub stars as the tiebreak. Rankings are never sold and never edited by hand.
