The platform organizes these resources into colour-coded sub-calendars within a single workspace, with granular access control set per person for each sub-calendar. It includes nine permission levels ranging from administrator to no access, custom fields for recording details like reference numbers, headcount and status, and supports recurring events that maintain local time across daylight saving changes. Quick answers
What is ManageCal?
ManageCal is a shared calendar for organisations that schedule people, rooms and equipment. One workspace holds several calendars split into colour-coded sub-calendars, with access set per person per sub-calendar and custom fields for work-specific details.
How do people sign in?
People sign in with a link sent to their email address. There are no passwords to set, share or reset.
What does no details access mean?
With no details access, users can see that a time is taken and which calendar it is on, but nothing else. The title reads Reserved and the details are never sent to their browser. Search cannot find them either.
Can fields be changed after events use them?
Yes. You can rename any field and the values follow it. You can change its type and every value that fits is kept; a change that would lose one is refused and shows which.
Do repeating events survive daylight saving?
Yes. A nine o'clock meeting stays at nine o'clock local time through the change, because repeats are worked out in the event's own time zone rather than by adding hours.
