If Required is an app for documenting important family information, practical instructions, and personal letters that your family would need to know if something happened to you. You write down where accounts are, where photos are backed up, how things work around the house, who to call, and personal messages. You choose who receives each item and select one to three trusted contacts who must confirm before anything is delivered. Everything is encrypted while stored and shared only when needed. You can keep sensitive items offline and use If Required simply to explain where to find them. The app also offers optional Check-In Care, where if you miss a scheduled check-in, the app asks your trusted contacts if you're okay rather than releasing content automatically. Personal Follow-Up is available as an add-on feature where a real person follows up by email, text, and phone if delivery remains unconfirmed.

Keep your safe code on paper, your documents in a folder, or your spare key tucked away, and use If Required to explain where to look. The app only shares those directions with the people you chose after your trusted contacts confirm.

4. How do trusted contacts and confirmations work?

   You pick up to three people who know you in real life, and the app emails them to confirm they're ready to help. You decide whether one, two, or three of them must confirm before anything is delivered. Requiring two confirmations means one person's accidental action cannot release everything.

5. What happens if I turn on Check-Ins and miss one?

   If you don't check in on schedule, nothing is released. Instead, the app asks your trusted people if you're okay. If you're just busy or traveling, you or your people can confirm you're okay with one tap. You can turn Check-Ins on or off anytime.
