What it is
Greenbar: the homepage
Greenbar is an uptime monitoring and status page platform designed for freelancers and small agencies. It watches client websites for downtime and automatically opens incidents when something breaks, while providing each client with their own branded status page at a custom address. All monitoring is managed from a single agency dashboard that displays which client sites are up, slow, or down at a glance.
The platform includes automatic incident detection using HTTP(S) checks with optional keyword matching. Incidents open after two failed checks in a row and close after two successful ones to avoid false alerts. Email alerts come on all plans, with Slack and signed webhook alerts available on paid tiers. Check history is retained for 7 days on the free plan and 90 days on paid plans.
Pricing is flat per agency rather than per client or per seat. The free plan supports one client with 5 monitors and 5-minute check intervals. The Freelancer plan ($15/month) covers up to 10 clients with 50 monitors and 1-minute checks. The Agency plan ($35/month) supports up to 30 clients with 150 monitors and 1-minute checks. Annual plans offer two months free.

How does the free credit work?
New accounts start with $100 in credit that requires no card. The system deducts a daily rate ($0.49 for Freelancer or $1.15 for Agency) from the credit until it runs out, with email notifications about a week before and when it expires. Accounts then move to the Free plan with monitors over the free limit paused. Each person gets one starting credit.
What counts as a client?
A client is one project in Greenbar consisting of one status page plus its associated monitors. Monitors are pooled across the account, so whether a client has one site or five sites, it still counts as one client.
Will my clients see Greenbar?
Each client's status page appears at its own address like yourclient.usegreenbar.com. The Free plan displays a small "Powered by Greenbar" line, but paid plans allow this to be hidden.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Card-paying customers can cancel from the billing page and keep access until the end of their paid period, then move to Free. Cancellations within 14 days of payment receive a full refund. Credit-based plans can be switched to Free immediately. Automatic refunds are limited to one per customer.
What do you check?
The system performs HTTP(S) checks on status codes with optional keyword checks for contains or doesn't-contain conditions. Incidents open after two failed checks in a row and close after two successful ones. Checks currently run from one location.
