BorderAudit™ is an automated post-clearance customs audit platform that re-checks every customs declaration against the live UK tariff and trade agreement rules. It performs over 100 automated checks per entry across classification, origin, valuation, and reliefs to surface compliance gaps and recoverable overpayments.
The platform works with customs data from HMRC MSS/CDS exports or broker feeds, auditing entries within the three-year reclaim window. It provides working dashboards to track findings, prepare reclaim claims with supporting evidence, and monitor new entries continuously to catch overpayments before the reclaim window closes.
BorderAudit™ is used by importers in fashion, luxury and retail. The company has identified £4.7 million in duty for customers to date and onboarded over 250 businesses.

Every declaration is re-checked against the live UK tariff across classification, origin, valuation, CPCs and reliefs using over 100 automated checks per entry. Exceptions are ranked by both compliance risk and reclaim value.
What data do you need?
To start, just a few details about your imports. For a full audit, BorderAudit™ works from customs entry data such as HMRC MSS/CDS exports or a broker feed, which your broker or freight forwarder can usually provide.
How long does an audit take?
A first-pass estimate takes minutes. A full audit of your entries typically returns findings within a couple of weeks, depending on volume.
How far back can we reclaim overpaid duty?
In the UK you can generally reclaim overpaid duty for up to three years from the date of the original entry, so the sooner you audit, the more is in scope.
Is our data secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is least-privilege with audit logs, and UK/EU hosting options and a full DPA are available.
