What is the difference between live and published?

Live mode tunnels a public HTTPS/WSS URL to a local HTTP or WebSocket process while the machine must stay available. Published mode uploads content to serve-managed storage so the link keeps working even after the source machine is offline.

Do I need an account?

Yes, an account owns your links at *.servelink.cc. Open the console to sign in, then use MCP or the CLI from your machine.

How do agents use serve?

Install the CLI with npm i -g @servelink/serve, run serve login, and add the MCP server configuration to your MCP config. There is also a hosted MCP connector at mcp.servelink.cc for remote publishing and link management.

What happens if my machine goes offline?

A live tunnel goes quiet when the machine sleeps or disconnects. A published link continues serving from storage. There is no automatic failover from live to published.

Owned links are unlimited by count on Free and Pro and are never recycled. However, concurrent live tunnels, publish size, storage, and live transfer are plan-capped at 3 tunnels and 2 GB transfer on Free, 10 tunnels and 25 GB transfer on Pro.
