Selectrace is a decision management platform designed for engineering teams to select vendors and technology products. Users define weighted criteria grouped by category, and multiple team members score each candidate product on every criterion. The system calculates weighted scores and rankings, while maintaining a complete audit trail of all changes. When the team decides, Selectrace freezes an immutable decision record exportable to PDF, designed to stand up to audits like ISO 26262 and ASPICE. The platform includes features like blind scoring so evaluators score without seeing others' scores, real-time collaboration, and explicit workflow stages.

How does weighted scoring work?
Each criterion has a weight between 0 and 100%, with applicable weights adding up to 100%. For each product, the overall score is calculated as the average of its scores (1 to 5) weighted by the criteria weights. The percentage is the score divided by 5. The same calculation limited to one category's criteria gives the per-category score.
Can I change weights after scoring has started?
Yes, but the system requires explicit confirmation since changing weights after scoring has started affects the comparability of scores already entered. The change is recorded in the audit trail.
What is the decision record?
When a project moves to "Decided", Selectrace saves an immutable snapshot of criteria, weights, scores, summary and risks, with who approved it and when. It stays readable and exportable to PDF even if the project is later changed in a new version.
How does the beta work?
During the beta, Selectrace is free for all organizations. Beta refers to features still in development like the Polarion connector, while score calculation and decision record integrity are already final. The first 10 organizations become founding members and stay free for 6 months after the beta ends.
Is my organization's data isolated?
Yes. Every piece of data belongs to exactly one organization and every request is filtered server-side on the signed-in user's organization. No user can read or change another organization's data.
