Quick answers
Is my data private?
Yes. Your notes stay on your Mac and are never sent to the company. The app uses your own OpenRouter account for AI processing, and sensitive data like passwords and card numbers are masked before any information leaves your device. Only anonymous usage statistics are sent once daily, and you can disable this in Settings.
Do I have to pay a subscription?
No. Notes2ai costs $24 once to unlock everything, with no subscription required. Updates are included. You only pay for AI processing through your own OpenRouter account, which typically costs a few cents per question.
Does it work with Apple Reminders?
Yes. The Reminders tab shows your week at a glance. You can drag reminders onto days, move multiple at once, or use Plan My Week to spread overdue items over coming days. Changes sync directly to Apple Reminders so they appear on your iPhone too.
Can I try it first?
Yes. You can download and use everything for free for your first 30 answers and new notes, with no time limit. Search remains free forever after that. Other features like asking, new notes, capture, dictation, Insights and Plan My Week require a license.
What is an OpenRouter key?
OpenRouter is a service that provides access to multiple AI models with one account. Your key is like a password for that account that you paste into the app once, where it stays on your Mac. You pay OpenRouter directly for AI queries, not Notes2ai.
