Crontap

Quick answers

1. Does Crontap fix WordPress wp-cron missing scheduled tasks?

Yes. wp-cron is pseudo-cron that only fires when a visitor loads the site, causing low-traffic sites to silently miss tasks. You disable wp-cron in wp-config.php and let Crontap hit wp-cron.php on a real external schedule at any cadence in your store's business timezone.

2. Can I get notified when a scheduled call fails?

Yes. Crontap retries server errors, timeouts, and connection failures with exponential backoff, then alerts connected Slack, Discord, Telegram, or email channels if retries are exhausted. Failure alerts include status code, duration and error summary.

3. Do I need to know cron syntax to use Crontap?

No. Crontap includes templates for common patterns and a plain-English scheduler, so you can describe schedules like "every 15 minutes" or "every weekday at 09:30" without writing cron expressions. A free cron debugger is available at tool.crontap.com/cronjob-debugger if you prefer cron syntax.

4. What happens if a scheduled call takes longer than expected?

Crontap enforces a sensible timeout per request. If a call exceeds the timeout, the run is marked as failed and configured failure integrations fire.

5. What's the shortest interval Crontap supports?

Every 1 minute on paid plans. That beats Vercel Cron Hobby (hourly minimum) and matches Google Cloud Scheduler (1 minute) without the per-target IAM dance Cloud Scheduler requires. GitHub Actions cron sits at a 5 minute minimum and can drift 15 minutes during peak per their own docs.
