An iPhone app that helps you pause before impulse purchases by putting items on hold, asking friends to vote, and deciding with a clear head.
What it is
Buy Jury: the homepage
Buy Jury turns the question "should I buy this?" into a 48-hour pause. Put an item on hold, send one link to your friends to vote Buy or Skip without needing the app, and decide when the hold ends. Everything you skip adds to your kept total.
The app includes a companion animal (a cat or dog) that keeps you company while your hold counts down, and a nightly check-in to track your no-spend streak. You can invite a circle of friends to see each other's streak counts, though your holds and spending remain private.
Buy Jury never connects to your bank or shows ads. The free plan includes three holds per month and 48-hour holds, while Jury Plus offers unlimited holds with customizable hold lengths (24h, 48h, 72h, or 7 days) and additional features.

Quick answers
How does a hold work?
You add something you want to buy and pick how long to wait (48 hours on the free plan). When the time's up, Buy Jury reminds you and you decide: skip it or buy it.
Do my friends need the app to vote?
No. They open the link in any browser, tap Buy or Skip, and add their first name. They can also vote anonymously if they prefer.
What is Find it cheaper?
On a hold, you can tap Find it cheaper and Buy Jury looks for the same item for less at other stores, showing up to three new listings with how much you'd save. Free plans get 2 checks a month; Jury Plus gets 30.
What does my circle see?
Your first name and your no-spend streak numbers. Your holds, prices, and totals remain private.
Does Buy Jury connect to my bank?
No. Buy Jury never asks for bank or card access. The totals are estimates based on the prices of things you chose to skip.
