BugTape captures errors and failed requests automatically from web apps, servers, and iOS. It groups duplicate failures into one issue, preserving DOM replay, request details, console output, and stack traces. Authorized coding agents can access evidence over MCP to investigate and propose fixes. The product supports web via JavaScript SDK, Node.js, Python, and Swift (alpha for handled errors). Reports include affected user information when provided. Setup takes minutes and the free plan requires no credit card.

    No. With the browser SDK installed, supported errors and failed requests can create reports automatically. Capture settings and rate limits apply. Users can also submit a report.

  2. Will BugTape fix my code?

    BugTape captures and shares evidence. Your authorized coding agent can investigate and propose a change. You review it. An agent response or linked pull request does not prove the fix works.

  3. What does free include?

    One project, three members, 100 new issues and 150 credits a month, with seven-day event retention. No credit card. See what credits cover.

  4. Does BugTape record every session?

    No. It keeps a short buffer in the browser and sends that buffer with a supported error or a user report.

  5. What does MCP require?

    Any plan, Free included. On Free and Prepaid credits, each agent read of a bug costs 2 credits; on Pro, reads are free. Your MCP client connects to https://app.bugtape.ai/mcp over HTTP. Clients that support MCP sign-in need only the URL and sign in with OAuth. Other clients use an agent token from Team → Add an agent.
