How the paid Product review works

The Product review ($19): a commissioned long-form assessment written from your public site, kept apart from votes and rankings.

Updated

What you're paying for

The Product review ($19) is a detailed write-up of your product. It lives on its own page at /launch/<listing>/product-review and sits apart from community reviews. Votes and rankings stay untouched—the review doesn't add one or move the leaderboard.

How we write it

Once you pay, we read your site fresh: homepage, about page, pricing, features, FAQ and documentation (if they exist). We write from those pages and your listing only. No invention. Where your pages don't answer what a buyer needs to know, we say that plainly. Strengths and weaknesses both go in. You cannot edit it after we publish.

What's inside

The review runs through key takeaways, several sections, pros and cons, who it suits, and a six-point check of what your pages say about what it does, who it's for, pricing, getting started, trust and security, and company contact details. It finishes with buyer questions, a verdict, and a list of the sources we used. No star rating.

Where it appears

Your listing shows a short extract in its own 'Product review' block, marked 'Commissioned by the maker', with a link to the full page. The listing's reviews page shows the summary and key takeaways. It never mixes with community reviews.

If your site goes down

If we can't read your website (offline, blocked access), we'll try again several times. If it stays inaccessible, the review is held for our team to look at. If they write it from your listing alone, the review says so.

All Product reviews on SaaS Directory List are listed side by side at /reviews ("Review list" in the footer, shown once one exists).

Questions people ask

When does the review publish?
After you pay, as soon as it's ready—unless your website is unreachable, in which case it is held for our team.
Can the review affect my ranking?
No. Reviews never count in votes or rankings. Votes move the leaderboard (and, on the billboard, money contributed).
Where do I buy it?
Add it when you choose a paid launch, or sign in to /account/listings, find your listing, select 'Upgrades and extras' and press the button. Check /pricing for the current cost.
