How badges work and when your link is followed

Display our badge to publish your free listing. Learn when your link becomes dofollow and which badges you can earn.

Grab the badge, get published

Every listing can display our badge. Head to your badge page, pick a design (shape, light or dark, size), copy the HTML and paste it on your website. The badge links straight to your listing here.

Free listings won't publish until our crawler spots that badge on your site. We check automatically every 7 days. Lose the badge? Your listing drops back to 'waiting for badge' and we'll email you. Put it back up and you're live again—no manual work needed.

When your link turns dofollow

Your badge link starts as nofollow. Here's how it changes:

  • Nofollow → dofollow when your site's Domain Rating (Ahrefs) hits 20 or higher and our spam checks pass
  • Stays nofollow if your Domain Rating is below that threshold
  • Paid launches get a dofollow link on the listing page to your website. Free listings get nofollow.

Badges you can earn

Some badges appear automatically once you've earned them: Launch of the Week winner, Featured, Launched and Verified. These show on your listing without any setup from you.

Questions people ask

Do I need the badge if I'm running a paid launch?
No. Paid launches publish straight away. Free listings only publish once we find your badge on your website.
What happens if I remove the badge later?
We check every 7 days. If it's gone, your listing goes back to 'waiting for badge' and you'll get an email. Add it back and you're re-published automatically.
Can my free listing link be dofollow?
No. Free listings always get a nofollow link. Only paid launches get dofollow links to your website from the listing page. Your badge link becomes dofollow only if your Domain Rating meets 20 and passes our spam checks.
